Lucien Moissonnier-Benert began his vocal training with René Schirrer, before joining Anne Fondeville-Bleuse’s class at the CRR in Toulouse, then continuing his training with Caroline Pelon and specialising in the Baroque repertoire at the Early Music Department of the CRR de Paris under Jérôme Correas.
Regularly invited to perform with leading ensembles and choirs, he collaborates with ensembles such as the Collegium Vocale Gent (conducted by Philippe Herreweghe), Les Cris de Paris (conducted by Geoffroy Jourdain), Les Paladins (conducted by Jérôme Correas), La Chapelle Rhénane (conducted by Benoît Haller), Les Épopées (conducted by Stéphane Fuget), Les Métaboles (conducted by Léo Warynski), Les éléments (conducted by Joël Suhubiette) and the Ensemble Il Caravaggio (conducted by Camille Delaforge). He is also a member of the Choir of the Royal Opera of Versailles and works under the baton of conductors such as Gaétan Jarry, Hervé Niquet, Leonardo García-Alarcón and Jordi Savall.
As a soloist, he performs in the major sacred works of Bach, Handel, Charpentier, Campra and Schütz. He has participated in several recordings, including French Kiss with Les Cris de Paris (Harmonia Mundi), Lully’s Le Ballet de l’Impatience with Les Paladins (Aparté), and Paolo Agostini’s 20-part Magnificat with the Consort Musica Vera (Château de Versailles Spectacles label).
He is a member of the 2023 cohort of the Jeune Orchestre Baroque Européen (conducted by Margaux Blanchard). In 2026, he joined the Académie Il Convito (directed by Maude Gratton) for a series of Bach cantatas.
